Were currently on the lookout for a Junior Quality Engineer to join our clients quality team. As a Junior Quality Engineer you can expect to work within a highly skilled team and will help to embed “quality first” driven culture.

Working hours 7.55am – 4.30pm Monday – Thursday and 7.55am – 2.15am Friday.

Duties;

As a Junior Quality Engineer you will support in the following activities whilst receiving coaching and guidance in the role;

Completion of control plans, setting customer standards, providing capability data.

Assessing and ensuring all customer specific requirements are fully understood and met

Supporting the delivery of process audits to ensure processes are being followed to the required standard and improve overall quality

Data collection to support quality metrics

Supporting the development and presentation of action plans to customers.

Supporting the timely resolution of customer concerns and internal product non-conformities using 8D, including the implementation of containments, root cause analysis, corrective action and closure.

Understanding and playing and active role in achieving business objectives

What we expect:

Whilst learning and development will be supported in the role. The Junior Quality Engineer will;

Have a working knowledge of lean principles and daily kaizen

Have an understanding ANPQP, FMEA, control plans

Be autonomous in data analysis and report writing

Able to work as a team member and willing to lead a team

Able to apply problem solving techniques to identify route cause and improvement actions

Able to plan and manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously

Be an effective communicator with the ability to engage with colleagues and customers at all levels to achieve business goals

Hold a HNC in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent be willing to work towards

Be computer literate with experience of Microsoft packages

Experience of working to IATF 16949 would be desirable
